OUR STORY
Our journey to founding Bilqis GreenTech is deeply rooted in personal experiences that have shaped our commitment to sustainable solutions.
Growing up, we were fortunate to have dedicated employees who became like family.
One such individual was our nanny, who cared for us from the age of three to sixteen. Her work with us provided a stable environment and an opportunity to earn additional income through recycling plastic bottles. Initially, she had to sort through dumpsters by hand, which led to health issues.
To protect her well-being, we took on the responsibility of sorting waste properly, ensuring a safer and healthier process.
Witnessing these challenges firsthand inspired us to address waste management and protect our planet, ultimately leading to the founding of Bilqis years later.
OUR NAME
The name "Bilqis" is inspired by the Queen of Sheba, known for her wisdom, leadership, and dedication to justice.
As depicted in the Quran, Bilqis was a powerful and intelligent ruler who sought truth and understanding, leading her kingdom with fairness and prosperity.
Her story embodies values that resonate deeply with us, especially as a woman-led startup.
We strive to reflect her intelligence, resilience, and thoughtful governance in our work, aiming to inspire and uplift communities while driving positive environmental change.
