Bilqis gives live events real-time, AI-powered visibility to see waste as it happens, act while it still matters, and prove what they kept out of landfill.
Picture a stadium at full capacity. Over roughly two hours, every fan leaves behind close to a kilogram of waste — together, several tonnes, generated almost all at once. At the scale of a major tournament, that climbs into the thousands of tonnes.
Most industries make waste slowly, with time to sort and react. An event doesn't. The moment the final whistle blows, that waste is already mixed, bagged, and hauled away — unsorted, unmeasured, impossible to prove.
The venue pledged to keep 75% out of landfill. But without seeing what happened, as it happened, there's no way to know — or show — whether they did.
This is the gap we exist to close. Not from a lack of care, but a lack of sight. You can't protect what you can't see, and you can't prove what you never measured.
Today, even the world's biggest events sort their waste by hand — slow, costly, and nearly impossible to verify. There's a better way.
Waste is recorded the moment it's created.
AI identifies the material at the source, in milliseconds.
Watch it live on real-time dashboards.
Audit-ready reporting, aligned to global standards (GRI, ISO, CSRD).
Measured, not estimated. Real-time, not post-event.
Every tonne diverted is carbon avoided and landfill spared — turning sustainability targets from hope into evidence.
Behind every waste stream are the people who handle it. Visibility and sorting at the source mean safer, cleaner, more dignified conditions for waste workers — a value we were founded on.
We make sustainability accountable — giving venues, cities, and communities proof they can trust, and a model for responsible events the region can be proud of.
Our mission: to make waste management and resource systems safer, smarter, and more human.
Bilqis GreenTech is a women-led, UAE-based climate-tech startup founded by twin sisters Safiatou and Sarah Fomba. Raised across 11 countries and shaped by 20+ years of their family's construction work, they saw early how badly the world manages waste — and who pays the price for it.
The name honors Queen Bilqis, the Queen of Sheba — a symbol of wisdom, leadership, and justice.

Bilqis GreenTech joins Qatar Science & Technology Park's Incubation program to focus on product development, technical build, and our first testing pathway.
